James Stuart Teague, Jr.
Stuart Teague practices in the State of Georgia in the areas of land use law, real estate law, property law, and business law with an emphasis in litigation and legal counseling. He graduated from Mercer University where he was active in N.D.T. debate and graduated cum laude from Mercer University Law School in Macon, Georgia. He was a member of the Mercer Law Review. He was admitted to practice law in Georgia in 1990. Following school, Mr. Teague was associated with Peterson Young Self & Asselin and its successor firms, Peterson Dillard Young Asselin Powell & Wilson, LLC and Wilson Brock & Irby, LLC, in Atlanta, Georgia. He established a law office in Forsyth County, Georgia in 2001. He has been a member of the Colorado State Bar since 2000. He also received mediator training in 2015.
Mr. Teague has handled complex litigation for builders, developers, homeowners, raw land owners, business associations, property owner associations, and all manner of small and large businesses. His practice has involved legal subjects touching on everything from zoning law, nuisance law, ambulance services, copyright law, real estate sales, broker liability, corporations, contract law, securities litigation, religious organizations, and business associations. In recent years, he has handled a number of land cases involving zoning and and nuisances caused by blasting and storm water flooding. He is also experienced in disputes with homeowner associations and local government. He has extensive experience in dealing with controversial matters pertaining to local government.
Stuart Teague currently practices under a professional corporation, James Stuart Teague, P.C. He previously represented clients as part of Teague & Chambless. His former law partner, Keisha Chambless, was appointed Chief Magistrate Court Judge of Forsyth County in 2021.
Mr. Teague spends his spare time with his family. He also enjoys rock climbing and has climbed locations in the United States and Canada including in Alaska, Yosemite, and other areas. He is a pilot and holds a current Private Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration.
